Position Summary: We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director to oversee the delivery of commercial energy efficiency programs for utility clients. This role is ideal for a mission-aligned leader with 7–10 years of experience, including direct utility program and management experience. The Director will lead a high-performing team, manage program performance, and help shape long-term strategy across multiple accounts. Current programs include energy efficiency outreach & engagement, electrification, and EV infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Client Delivery:

Supervise a team of 5–8, including two direct reports (e.g., Program Managers), fostering professional development and collaboration and ensuring seamless energy efficiency program implementation

Manage staffing plans, labor allocation, and project budgets to align with contract scope and organizational goals

Build and maintain strong relationships with utility clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders

Contribute to program design and continuous improvement based on client feedback, market trends, and internal insights

Monitor and report on kWh savings and other program success metrics, maintaining alignment with client objectives

Balance program budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure effective delivery and high customer satisfaction
Business Development:

Identify potential opportunities for expanding business with existing clients

Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, strategy, and cross-functional planning
Qualifications:

BA or BS degree with 7-10 years of experience in utility energy efficiency programs

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work successfully in a remote environment

Have experience with energy, utility, and/or commercial real estate market needs

Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team environment

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders

Strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of adapting strategies to overcome program challenges and meet goals
