Position Title: Program Manager
Employment Status: Full Time
Location: Chicago, IL – this position is full-time remote but will require some in-person events and meetings in Chicago and surrounding communities.

Position Summary: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manager to oversee an energy efficiency program in Chicago. As the primary point of contact for these programs, the Program Manager will manage day-to-day operations, mentor a team of outreach professionals, and ensure the achievement of key metrics, including kWh savings. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in utility energy efficiency programs, data aggregation, and benchmarking compliance, along with a strong understanding of the Chicagoland area and the commercial real estate industry.
Responsibilities:
Client Delivery:

Lead the execution of energy efficiency and sustainability programs, balancing strategic management and hands-on delivery to achieve program goals.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the utility and multifamily investor, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and fostering strong relationships.

Take ownership of an existing outreach strategy, refining and optimizing it for maximum impact.

Monitor and report on kWh savings and other program success metrics, maintaining alignment with client objectives.

Balance program budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure effective delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Business Development:

Identify potential opportunities for expanding business with existing clients.

Assist management in development and execution of business development strategies.
Qualifications:

BA or BS degree with 5-8 years of experience in utility energy efficiency programs, with a strong background in the commercial real estate industry and data aggregation.

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to self-motivate and work successfully in a remote environment.

Have an understanding of building components and energy efficiency measures.

Have experience with energy, utility, and/or commercial real estate market needs.

Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Resides in or near Chicago, with an in-depth knowledge of the Chicagoland area.

Strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of adapting strategies to overcome program challenges and meet goals.

Strong analytical and Excel skills.
