Another successful ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Awards ceremony was held on April 11th in Washington, D.C.! Manufacturers, utilities, home builders, commercial and industrial building owners and operators, retailers, associations, building tenants, contractors and more came out to celebrate energy efficiency achievements in 2018.
Waypoint Energy joined BOMA International to celebrate their 12th Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence for Energy Efficiency Program Delivery. BOMA’s achievements are many. Waypoint is thrilled to support the BOMA Waste and Water Challenge (W2 Challenge), an initiative that promotes benchmarking of water use and waste output across the commercial real estate sector.
Director Katie Vrabel (front row, right) attended on behalf of Waypoint Energy. BOMA’s Director of State and Local Affairs, Ken Rosenfeld, commented on the event:
“Sustainability -- and ENERGY STAR specifically -- are ingrained as a key part of what BOMA stands for. We have a long history of partnering with ENERGY STAR, and we were truly honored to earn our twelfth Partner of the Year Award. The W2 Challenge is our most recent sustainability initiative, we’ve been overwhelmed by its success, and it’s clearly demonstrating what the industry can accomplish. Waypoint has been an indispensable partner with the W2 Challenge, and we were thrilled that Katie could join the BOMA team at the Partner of the Year event.”
We tip our hats to all of the 2019 winners Tishman Speyer, National Grid, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), LaSalle Investment Management, Kilroy Realty Corporation, JLL, Goby Inc., Focus on Energy, Cushman & Wakefield, Consumers Energy, ComEd, CBRE, USAA, MetLife, LBA Realty, Yardi Systems, NYSERDA, and BOMA International.
