By now we could call it a tradition: every year Waypoint Energy makes sure to attend the ACEEE Market Transformation Symposium, and this year is no different. Waypoint Energy Manager, Marta Schantz will be attending the event this year in Arlington, VA, April 2nd – 4th. In the past we’ve presented on projects like our Sustainable Office Design program with Eversource and National Grid, or our Utility Connect program that we implement with utilities including Southern California Gas Company and Rocky Mountain Power. This year the conference took a different angle to programming, and instead of accepting abstracts, conducted a survey of past attendees’ areas of interest and built the educational sessions around that.
The result? A very strong mix of sessions and topics that covers market transformation in the here, the now, and the future: “Innovative Approaches from Emerging Technologies to Market Transformation.” Of particular interest is “The Future of the ENERGY STAR® Program” plenary, as well as the “Regional Roundup” session in which utility and Regional Energy Efficiency Organization (REEO) representatives explore notable changes to program funding, impacts, approaches, and policy across various geographies of significance throughout the United States. These topics are incredibly relevant considering Waypoint Energy’s work with REEOs such as NEEA’s Commercial Real Estate (CRE) program, and our work with CRE firms to benchmark energy usage on ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
If you’re attending the conference next week, be sure to reach out to Waypoint Energy to say hello and talk shop about energy efficiency, market transformation, and everything in between. Looking forward to seeing you there!
